About Me
I’m Richard (also known as Ric) Hopwood, an art consultant, photographer and creative designer.
I own EntirelyArt, art consultants based in Yorkshire. I advise business and home owners on the right art to suit their space. We supply art to many places including hotels and restaurants, commissioning artists and designer/makers to help create bespoke art that will enhance the overall look of the business.

I normally have my camera with me wherever I travel. I take photographs of views that inspire me, mesmerising scenery and stunning landscapes.
I also take great interest in the history of the places I photograph. See for instance my photo-journalism section where I took photographs around my local city of Wakefield of the old market hall before it was knocked down.
I love the idea that a photograph is a moment trapped in time and also the idea that every photo hides a story, for instance, when I am photographing people I aim for the spontaneous and natural element, I don't like to make my photography look too posed.
I particularly like the fashion and creative elements of photography, it's great to be able to pick a location and photograph a model reacting with the natural setting of that location. I prefer this style of working as opposed to setting up a shot in a photographic studio.
I don't use lots of fancy effects and studio trickery, I prefer to interact with my subject and produce simple, natural and effective photographs. In fact, the baby portraits I have achieved were done in the comfort of the clients home, with a relaxed approach and a cup of coffee in between shots!

Through owning Entirely Art, I get to represent other artists too. It’s great to help to promote their work by organising events and exhibitions. I can also advise artists on how best to promote themselves and get their work noticed.
I also offer tuition and organise workshops for those wanting to learn photography or something creative. I describe myself as a general creative. I like to create great looking artwork by messing around with paint on canvas, creating abstract canvas art and I also like to create abstract Digital art on the computer too.
